Since 2014, road managers have been required to conduct inspections every five years. The second inspection cycle shows progress rates of 83% for bridges, 73% for tunnels, and 78% for road attachments. For bridges rated as Category III or IV in the first inspection, local governments achieved a 75% implementation rate but only 56% completion rate for repairs, compared to the national government's 99% and 70% respectively. High-speed road companies showed 95% and 75%. Additionally, local government consideration of facility consolidation, demolition, or downsizing increased significantly from 35% to 80%.
