The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's Hokkaido Bureau is developing a visitor promotion strategy to reach one million annual visitors to Upopoy, which opened in July 2020 as a center for Ainu culture revival and creation. The committee was established in September 2023 to provide advice on the strategy. The second meeting will be held via web conference, featuring explanations from the Hokkaido Bureau and hearings from expert members and reference persons.
