This page is a press release from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare dated November 8, 2021, announcing a voluntary recall of in vitro diagnostic devices. Denka Corporation initiated a recall of 130,000 boxes (1.3 million units) of "QuickNavi™-COVID19 Ag," a SARS-CoV-2 antigen rapid test kit, distributed between December 14-25, 2020. Over 1.2 million units were distributed to medical institutions and elderly care facilities through a government distribution program. Denka Corporation will be responsible for replacing the distributed kits with new ones.
