This page is a press release from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare dated March 3, 2015, regarding inspection orders on imported food. Dutch cabbage and its processed products were found to contain pesticide pencycuron exceeding the standard, leading to mandatory full-batch inspections under food hygiene law. Two violations were identified: Union Company's shipment with 0.03 ppm and Royal Company's with 0.08 ppm pencycuron (standard: 0.01 ppm). Pencycuron, a urea-based fungicide, poses minimal health risks according to the ministry.
