This page announces inspection orders on imported Chinese chives and processed products issued by Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare on March 28, 2014. Two shipments of frozen chives were found to exceed the standard limit of 0.01 ppm for the fungicide pesticides metalaxyl and mefenoxam, with detections of 0.05 ppm and 0.02 ppm respectively. The ministry implemented mandatory inspection requirements under the Food Sanitation Law. These pesticides pose no health risk within acceptable daily intake levels. Self-inspection will be conducted until registered inspection institutions are prepared.

このページは、中国産にら及びその加工品に対して、食品衛生法に基づく検査命令を実施することを発表したです。検疫所のモニタリング検査で基準値を超える農薬（メタラキシル及びメフェノキサム）が検出されたため、輸入者には全ロットの検査が義務づけられます。自主検査が困難な場合には行政検査が行われる予定です。具体的には、メタラキシル及びメフェノキサムがそれぞれ0.05ppm、0.02ppm検出された冷凍にらの輸入事例があり、いずれも基準値を超えていました。全量が保管されており、今後の対応が求められています。
