This page announces inspection orders on imported Chinese chives and processed products issued by Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare on March 28, 2014. Two shipments of frozen chives were found to exceed the standard limit of 0.01 ppm for the fungicide pesticides metalaxyl and mefenoxam, with detections of 0.05 ppm and 0.02 ppm respectively.
