This page announces the approval of replacement breast implant products (gel-filled artificial breasts) used in breast reconstruction surgery. Following Allergan Japan's voluntary recall in July 2019, the distribution of insured products in Japan had stopped. In response to requests from medical professionals and patients, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare requested expedited review of replacement products from the PMDA. After confirming effectiveness and safety, two products were approved: Natrel 133 Tissue Expander and Natrel Breast Implant, enabling resumption of breast reconstruction procedures.

このページは、乳房再建術に用いるブレスト・インプラント関連製品（回収品の代替製品）が承認されたことを報告しています。令和元年7月25日にアラガン・ジャパンの製品が自主回収されたため、国内の流通が停止し、医療現場からの代替品の要望が高まりました。厚生労働省はPMDAに迅速な審査を依頼し、代替品の有効性と安全性を確認した上で、本日、ナトレル 133 ティッシュ・エキスパンダーとナトレル ブレスト・インプラントを承認しました。これにより、乳房再建術の再開が可能になるとしています。
