This page is a Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare press release from October 6, 2017, announcing the response to genetically modified microorganism-derived food additives "lipase" and "phospholipase" that had not undergone safety assessments under the Food Sanitation Law. Following confirmation of safety by the Food Safety Commission, the import and sale of plant-based oils manufactured using these additives became permissible. Consequently, import and sales suspension orders previously issued to Cargill Japan and Mitsubishi Corporation were lifted.

このページは、食品衛生法に基づく安全性審査を経ていなかった遺伝子組換え微生物を使用した添加物「リパーゼ」及び「ホスホリパーゼ」について、食品安全委員会での安全性確認を受け、輸入と販売の指示を解除したことを報告しています。2016年9月に審査未経過が判明し、2017年8月と本日にそれぞれ安全性審査が完了。これにより、当該添加物を製造工程に使用した植物性原料油脂の輸入と販売が可能となりました。また、流通済み食品の販売を取りやめる必要はないと判断されています。
