The Nuclear Disaster Countermeasures Headquarters issued shipment restrictions on wild bracken (warabi) collected in Kamaishi, Iwate Prefecture (220 Bq/kg) and wild ostrich fern (zenmaia) collected in Kanuma, Tochigi Prefecture (110 Bq/kg), based on inspection results. These foods exceeded radioactive substance standards and were prohibited from shipment in their respective areas.
