This page describes Nvidia's new Auto Shader Compilation feature in the Nvidia App, designed to reduce PC gaming's "compiling shaders" wait times. The beta feature automatically precompiles shaders while the machine is idle, reducing runtime compilation frequency after driver updates. Users can activate it via Graphics Tab settings and configure disk space and resource usage. The feature requires GeForce Game Ready Driver 595.97 WHQL or later. However, initial shader generation for new games still occurs at first launch. This complements Microsoft's Advanced Shader Delivery system, with Intel also developing solutions.
