This page announces that the Tohoku Regional Communications Bureau will establish a task force to address radio interference in critical wireless communications accompanying the Imperial visit. From March 25-26 and April 6-7, the Emperor and Empress will visit Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima prefectures to inspect reconstruction efforts from the Great East Japan Earthquake. To prevent interference with police, fire, aviation, railway, broadcasting, and cellular communications, the bureau will strengthen radio monitoring operations from March 24-27 and April 5-8, with the bureau director as chief.
