This page reports the results of a demonstration project for providing high-precision weather information at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo. Using a next-generation weather radar developed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications and NICT, the project successfully observed and forecasted heavy rainfall with high accuracy. Information on rain cloud conditions was successfully transmitted to the expo organizing association and visitors through smartphone app push notifications.
