This page announces the results of the 1st Safety Management Forum held by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. The forum was created to promote networking and coordination among safety managers across competing companies and different transportation modes. Held on October 16, 2017, in Minato Ward, Tokyo, the event attracted 109 safety managers and personnel. The program included opening remarks, a briefing on J-Alert and Em-Net protocols, case studies from Nippon Express, Tokai Kisen, and Hiroshima Electric Railway on safety management, and a lecture on utilizing specialized institutions for safety management. A networking reception followed the forum.
