This page announces that support staff from municipalities nationwide will be dispatched to Kahoku City and Noto Town in Ishikawa Prefecture to accelerate land boundary redetermination following liquefaction damage from the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake. The "lateral flow" caused by horizontal ground movement has created discrepancies between land boundaries and current conditions, affecting reconstruction efforts. To address this, the "Land Boundary Redefinition Acceleration Plan" was formulated in September 2024. Support staff including cadastral advisors from Ibusuki City (Kagoshima), Tsu City (Mie), Osaka City (Osaka), and Okayama City (Okayama) will be dispatched from April 2025 to March 2026 to conduct intensive cadastral surveys.
