This page announces that Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has adopted three new research projects aimed at improving road policy quality. At the 56th New Road Technology Council held on February 20, 2023, three research projects were selected to address road policy issues within three years from fiscal year 2024. From September 19 to October 31, 2023, eight applications were received for technical research proposals. Following deliberation by the New Road Technology Council, three projects were adopted. The ministry has established this council since October 2004 to enhance road policy by integrating academic knowledge and industrial technology.
