This page describes Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's "Deliberative Committee on the Approach to New International Container Strategy Port Policy." Established in February 2023 to review and follow up on existing international container strategy port policies amid disruptions caused by COVID-19, the committee examines future directions for approximately five years from fiscal 2024. The committee published its "final summary" in February 2024 and will continue monitoring policy objectives and verifying implementation progress.
