This page announces the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's approval of an additional indication for dried cell culture smallpox vaccine on August 2, 2022. KM Biologics Co., Ltd.'s product "Dried Cell Culture Smallpox Vaccine LC16 'KMB'" received approval for monkeypox prevention in addition to its existing smallpox prevention indication. The application was submitted on July 6, 2022, and the approved efficacy now covers prevention of both smallpox and monkeypox.
