This page is a press release from Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare dated September 15, 2021, regarding white particulates found in vials of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine "Comirnaty." The white microparticles are a product characteristic and the vaccine can be used safely after dilution with 10 gentle inversions. If white particles remain after dilution, that vial should not be used. Product-derived white particles pose no safety concerns, and no foreign substances have been identified. Investigation results for lot number FF5357 will be published promptly.
