Aflatoxin, a carcinogenic mycotoxin, was detected during import inspections, prompting mandatory testing of all lots per Food Sanitation Law. The violating product was roasted pistachios imported by NET'S Corporation in September 2016 at Narita Airport, with aflatoxin exceeding safety standards. All affected cargo is currently under quarantine.
