This page announces the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's decision regarding a quadrivalent vaccine "Quatrovac" manufactured by the Institute of Immunological Science. Following discovery of discrepancies between approved specifications and actual manufacturing practices, the ministry had requested a voluntary suspension of shipments in September. After detailed review, authorities determined no significant quality or safety issues existed. The Infectious Diseases Division of the Health Science Council recommended resuming shipments to prevent vaccine supply shortages. Consequently, the ministry lifted the shipment suspension on February 26, 2016.
