This page announces the lifting of import suspension measures on Polish beef tongue by Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. An import suspension was imposed after frozen beef tongue with insufficient removal of tonsils was detected at Narita Airport in November 2014. Following a March 2015 investigation report from the Polish government confirming preventive measures—including improved processing methods at the facility, veterinary official training, notification to all facilities exporting to Japan, and mandatory reporting requirements—the import suspension was lifted as of April 3, 2015.
