Due to monitoring test results detecting glyphosate exceeding the standard value in Indian chickpeas at quarantine facilities, mandatory testing of all lots per import declaration has been implemented. The violation details show that HARMONY Co., Ltd. imported 255 cartons (6.38 tons) of chickpeas with 5.0 ppm glyphosate detected, exceeding the 2.0 ppm standard. However, no health impact is expected.
