This page is a press release from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare dated June 16, 2014, announcing that the Nuclear Disaster Countermeasures Headquarters instructed Fukushima Prefecture to impose shipment restrictions on wild Japanese butterbur (fuki) harvested in Tenei Village based on radioactivity test results of 140 Bq/kg. The directive was issued under Article 20, Paragraph 2 of the Nuclear Disaster Countermeasures Special Measures Law. The detailed instructions and management guidelines are provided in attached documents.
