This page announces a change in the treatment of Japan Post Co., Ltd. (6178) in stock index calculations. Previously, government-held shares were excluded from the "listed shares for index" count. However, 84,936,400 shares released by the government and acquired by the company as treasury stock will be added to the index calculation effective September 30, 2025. The company's free-float ratio will also be adjusted accordingly.
