This page describes the S&P/JPX Smart Beta Index Series, jointly developed by Japan Exchange Group and S&P Dow Jones Indices. It serves as a new investment benchmark addressing diverse investment needs. The series comprises two indices: the S&P/JPX Dividend Aristocrats Index, which selects stocks that have maintained or increased dividends for over ten years and weights them by dividend yield, and the S&P/JPX Risk Control Index, which controls volatility by adjusting allocations between TOPIX stocks and cash based on historical volatility. Both indices were launched in December 2015.
