This page describes JSCC's management of custodial assets and investments. The corporation limits its own asset management to bank deposits, government bonds, local bonds, and government-guaranteed securities with secured safety and liquidity. Deposit custodians are restricted to banks meeting strict criteria and are monitored regularly. Collateral deposited by clearing participants is held either directly in CSDs or central bank accounts, or at custodians meeting designated standards. All custodians are regularly monitored for operational and financial conditions to ensure safe management and operation of deposited collateral.
