This page describes Japan Securities Clearing Corporation (JSCC), Japan's first securities clearing organization established in 2003. JSCC provides clearing services for exchange-traded securities, over-the-counter derivatives (CDS and interest rate swaps), and government bonds. Following its merger with Japan Commodity Clearing Organization in 2020, it expanded services to include listed commodity derivatives. As a Central Counterparty (CCP), JSCC replaces original counterparties in settlement, guaranteeing performance and improving market efficiency. The organization has gained regulatory approvals in multiple countries including Europe, Australia, the US, Hong Kong, and Canada.
