This page describes a study group organized by Japan Exchange Group on expanding the base of derivatives investors. To improve Japan's financial capital market's international standing, diversifying the derivatives market and promoting domestic investor participation were identified as key issues. Three sessions were held in 2016, chaired by Sadakazu Osaki of Nomura Research Institute. Multiple securities companies participated to discuss retail investor trading trends, overseas market dynamics, and key issues. Meeting reports and research materials on derivatives investor expansion were compiled and made available.
