Kadoya Oil and Takemoto Oil engaged in illegal price-fixing through communications between sales representatives regarding price increases for sesame oil sold to three major buyers: S&B Foods, Marumiya Food Industries, and Fundokin Soy Sauce. The companies agreed to jointly raise prices, violating the Antimonopoly Act Section 3. Cease-and-desist orders and surcharge payment orders were issued.
