This page announces an administrative monetary penalty order issued by the Japan Fair Trade Commission to Chugoku Electric Power Company on May 28, 2024, based on the Unfair Competition Prevention Act. The company falsely displayed that its "Gutto Zutto Plan Smart Course" and "Simple Course" electricity rates were cheaper than the "Jūryō Dentō-A" rate on its website and pamphlets between April 2022 and January 2023. However, the fuel cost adjustment applied to these plans actually exceeded that of Jūryō Dentō-A during this period, making the representations misleading to consumers.
