This page announces that the Japan Fair Trade Commission approved commitment plans submitted by Sainex Co., Ltd. and Smart Value Co., Ltd. on June 30, 2022. Both companies had engaged in suspected unfair trading practices in violation of the Antimonopoly Act since February 2019, when bidding for municipal homepage renewal projects. They distributed specification documents requiring non-open-source content management systems, making it difficult for open-source competitors to participate. Through the commitment procedure, the JFTC recognized the companies' plans to eliminate these violations and restore fair competition.
