This page announces the approval of Amazon Japan's commitment plan by the Japan Fair Trade Commission on September 10, 2020. The Commission identified suspected violations of the Antimonopoly Act by Amazon Japan against suppliers since May 2016, including: reducing payments through inventory compensation contracts, imposing unreasonable monetary burdens without clear justification, collecting payments without providing agreed services, requiring contributions to system investments, and making unjustifiable returns. The plan submitted by Amazon Japan met all requirements for approval. However, this approval does not constitute a final determination of violation.
