This page announces the revision of the "Case Collection on Verification of Effectiveness of AML/CFT Measures" published by Japan's Financial Services Agency on March 31, 2026. The FSA previously released a discussion paper and case collection in March 2025 to promote "effectiveness verification" helping financial institutions maintain and enhance their management systems against evolving money laundering and terrorism financing risks. The revised edition incorporates new examples from deposit-taking financial institutions, cryptocurrency exchange operators, and money transfer service providers obtained through monitoring. The FSA commits to continuously updating the case collection to further promote effective AML/CFT implementation.
