This page explains the data definitions for the Digital Agency's childcare provision dashboard. It outlines metrics calculated from data published by the Children and Families Agency, including applicants, capacity, users, excluded categories, and waiting children. Applicants are children whose childcare necessity is certified, while waiting children are calculated by subtracting actual users and excluded categories from applicants. The dashboard excludes certain children receiving care in alternative programs and corporate childcare facilities. Municipal classifications use government data, and regional classifications adopt the depopulated areas list. Detailed calculation methods for each metric are provided.
