About this page
This page describes the My Number Card smartphone service by Japan's Digital Agency. It allows My Number Card holders to add the card's functions to their iPhone or Android device and verify their identity using biometric authentication like facial recognition or fingerprints. The free service is available through the latest My Number Portal app and supports applications at government agencies, convenience stores, medical institutions accepting it as health insurance, and e-Tax filing. It is compatible with iPhone XS and later running iOS 18.5 or above, and eligible Android devices.
