This page describes the Prior Confirmation Procedures on laws and regulations implemented by Japan's Digital Agency. The procedure allows private companies to confirm in advance whether their planned business activities are subject to specific laws and regulations. The administrative organ reviews the inquiry and publishes its response. Established based on a Cabinet decision from March 2001, the Digital Agency implements these procedures for laws and regulations under its jurisdiction. The procedure covers inquiries regarding permit requirements and notification obligations.
