About this page
This page describes the Digital Society Promotion Council established by the Digital Agency. It was created following the enactment of the Digital Society Formation Basic Law on September 1, 2021, replacing the former IT Strategic Headquarters. The Council promotes digital society formation initiatives and coordinates between related government agencies, with the Prime Minister serving as chairman. Six meetings have been held since its inaugural session in 2021, supported by related working groups including the Data Strategy Promotion Working Group and Mobility Working Group.
