About this page
This page provides information about the Housing Quality Assurance Act, which promotes and ensures housing quality in Japan. The law became jointly administered by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and the Consumer Affairs Agency when the latter was established on September 1, 2009. The page contains the full text of the law, ordinances, regulations, and the Japanese Housing Performance Display Standards. It is overseen by the Display Measures Division as part of the Consumer Affairs Agency's representation and labeling policies.
