About this page
This page describes the Consumer Affairs Agency's support for local consumer administration. Based on the "Local Consumer Administration Strengthening Strategy 2020" revised in 2020, it aims to establish a system nationwide where high-quality consumer consultation and relief are accessible regardless of location. Through the Local Consumer Administration Strengthening Grant, the agency supports prefectures and municipalities in strengthening consumer administration, improving consultation systems, and enhancing problem-solving capabilities. The agency also promotes the development and securing of specialized personnel to address increasingly complex consumer issues through various deliberation committees and study groups.
