This page is a notice from Japan's Consumer Affairs Agency dated September 29, 2022, requesting information about suspicious profit schemes. Since April 2021, the agency has been seeking reports from consumers who were solicited or entered into transactions involving the sale of smartphone applications and claiming to pay rental fees (in cash or cryptocurrency) exceeding the purchase price from revenues derived from third-party use. The Trade Countermeasures Division accepts information through the Suspected Unfair Trade Practices Information Submission Form and related channels.
