This page provides official information from Japan's Consumer Affairs Agency on food radioactivity measures following the Great East Japan Earthquake. It details the status and lifting of shipment and consumption restrictions for foods exceeding provisional regulatory or standard values for radioactive substances. In September 2022, restrictions were lifted on wild mushrooms (Mukitake and Kuritakemadoki) from Aomori Prefecture. Food and tap water inspection results for radioactive substances are regularly updated and searchable. Information on precautions for collecting wild mushrooms and mountain vegetables, along with each prefecture's restriction status, is available on the Forestry Agency website.
