This page is a contributed article on the Class Action Procedure Act for Consumer Damages Recovery and its future challenges. The law aims to collectively recover consumer property damages through a two-stage procedure: first, certified consumer groups confirm business obligations, and second, consumers declare claims and debts are confirmed. Enacted in 2013 and enforced in October 2023, as of February 2024, there are 4 certified groups with 9 lawsuits filed. This system, part of consumer group litigation alongside injunctive relief provisions, improves judicial access and protects consumer interests through cooperation between administration, judiciary, and consumer organizations.
