This page reports on a special fraud case in Ehime Prefecture where an 80-year-old woman lost approximately 1.2 billion yen. The victim received a call in October last year from someone claiming to be a pharmacy employee and a police officer, warning about unauthorized insurance card use. Subsequently, through SNS, a person posing as a prosecutor claimed her account was being used for money laundering. From December to February, she transferred the money multiple times to designated accounts.
