This page reports on three police officers from Aichi Prefecture Police who gambled on mahjong using a smartphone app during work hours. A sergeant and two other officers at Tsushima Station's community police division were sent for prosecution on suspicion of simple gambling for betting 500 yen per game between July and October 2024. An investigation revealed they had wagered money in 300 mahjong games between 2023 and 2025. The three received suspension, and eleven supervisors received disciplinary action. They were later not prosecuted on March 30.
