The person was found and taken into custody at Higashi-Shizuoka Station approximately 2.5 kilometers away. Train operations were suspended for about an hour and ten minutes, affecting 64 trains and approximately 56,000 passengers. Brazilian national Yamaguci Pereira Chiago Momohito (39) from Higashi-Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture was arrested for violating the Shinkansen Special Law. He reportedly confessed and stated he entered the tracks because he was being chased by yakuza.
