This page reports on a residential fire that occurred around 11 PM on April 3 in Saitama City. A two-story wooden house owned by 81-year-old Aiko Shigenobu caught fire and burned completely, resulting in two deaths. One unidentified body was found in the ruins, and Shigenobu died after being transported to hospital. Police are investigating whether the body belongs to a 20-year-old grandchild living in the house. A 50-year-old daughter who lived there was out and unharmed.
