The victims were Keizo Takamine (56), a staff member from Saitama, and the Matsumoto family of five from Shizuoka: father Koji (45), mother Eriko (42), and children aged 11, 8, and 5. The truck rear-ended the Matsumoto vehicle, which then struck Takamine's car. Takamine was dedicated to volleyball coaching, while the Matsumoto family was traveling for tourism.
