This page describes the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' (MIC) symbol mark, established and in use since April 1, 2005. Created to promote the ministry's philosophy and foster unity among staff, the design features a sphere dynamically emerging from a square frame representing Japan, symbolizing the MIC's active, creative, and globally-engaged activities. The symbol color is Vivid Orange, representing vibrancy, clarity, and safety—qualities befitting a ministry supporting citizens' comfortable lives. Usage is strictly regulated; third parties cannot use it without permission, except in cases authorized by the MIC, such as commissioned projects or officially approved promotional activities.
