It explains the ombudsman system and how Japan's administrative consultation system functions as an ombudsman mechanism recognized internationally by the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI) and Asian Ombudsman Association (AOA). Since 1992, the Administrative Evaluation Bureau has engaged in multilateral exchanges with foreign ombudsman organizations and concluded bilateral cooperation memoranda with Vietnam, Iran, Uzbekistan, and Thailand, providing technical cooperation through practical training and high-level exchanges.
