This page announces the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's decision regarding the dried cell culture Japanese encephalitis vaccine "Ensebach" manufactured by the Institute for Protein Research. The institute's products had discrepancies between approval documents and manufacturing practices, leading to a shipment suspension request in September 2015. Following review by the Infectious Diseases Division of the Health Science Council, the ministry determined no serious quality or safety issues existed. On February 26, 2016, the shipment suspension was lifted to prevent supply shortages and support Japanese encephalitis prevention efforts.
